The completely renovated bathroom, embedded in the open floor plan of a new penthouse apartment, immediately puts you in a good mood.

A Berlin artist couple wanted a bathroom without shelves, clear and clean, in order to avoid clutter.

So the architect, herself a fan of the two clients' art, had the idea of transforming the client's art into the bathroom. The client paints with acrylic behind glass and uses the most beautiful color worlds. The works of art oscillate between abstract painting and objecthood.

The colorful glass partition was created based on the works of art and serves to separate the different zones. The floor plan is open, there are no doors, no windows and few shelves.

One wall was stripped of paint and returned to its raw concrete state. Old dowel holes were deliberately not closed. These are still used for wall hooks. All remaining walls are treated with epoxy resin and remain neutral white so that the colors of the glass elements can be reflected in them.

There is only one tub shelf and one for towels. The previously small 7m² bathroom was enlarged to 9m² by moving the platform (which was already there) further into the hallway. The sculptural shape of the bathtub presents itself. This means that the owners can now look out over the roof terrace and the Berlin sky while bath and enjoy it. The platform was covered with gray linoleum, also in anthracite gray to match the shower tray.

The bright colors of the glass partition transform the white walls into raspberry red, pistachio green and light orange, depending on the light. But what first catches your eye when you enter the bathroom are the colors pink, red, light pink and dark blue. The neon yellow fittings and the guide rail provide a counter accent and hold the colored areas together.

The room-dividing glass wall with two sliding doors divides functional areas in the bathroom and provides intimacy. In the front of the bathroom, bathtub and sink, in the back toilet, bidet and shower.

When you stand in the shower, the residents are immersed in colors such as peach, pink, light and dark green.

Das komplett erneuerte Badezimmer, eingebettet in den offenen Grundriss einer Neubau-Penthouse-Wohnung, macht sofort gute Laune.

Ein Berliner Künstler-Paar wünschte sich ein Badezimmer ohne Ablagen, klar und clean, um der Unordnung keine Möglichkeit zu geben.

So hatte die Architektin, selber Fan der Kunst der beiden Auftraggeber, die Idee, die Kunst des Bauherrn in das Bad zu transformieren. Der Auftraggeber malt mit Acryl hinter Glas und bedient sich der allerschönsten Farbwelten. Die Kunstwerke oszillieren zwischen abstrakter Malerei und Objekthaftigkeit.

Die bunte Glastrennwand entstand in Anlehnung an die Kunstwerke und dient als Raumtrennung der unterschiedlichen Zonen. Der Grundriss ist offen, es gibt keine Tür, kein Fenster und wenig Ablagen.

Eine Wand wurde von Farbe befreit und ist wieder in den Rohzustand Beton versetzt worden. Alte Dübellöcher wurden bewußt nicht verschlossen. Diese werden weiterhin für Wandhaken genutzt. Alle übrigen Wände sind mit Epoxidharz behandelt und bleiben im neutralen Weiß, so dass sich die Farben der Glaselemente darin abbilden können.

Es gibt nur eine Wannenablage und eine für Handtücher. Das vormals 7m² kleine Bad, wurde auf 9m² vergrößert, indem das Podest (war bereits vorhanden) weiter in den Flur gezogen wurde. Die skulpturale Form der Badewanne präsentiert sich. So können die Eigentümer nun auch den Blick beim Baden auf die Dachterrasse und den Berliner Himmel richten und genießen. Das Podest wurde mit grauen Linoleum bezogenen, passend zur Duschwanne auch in anthrazit grau.

Die bunten Farben der Glastrennwand verwandeln die weißen Wände in Himbeerrot, Pistanziengrün und hellorange, je Lichteinfall. Aber was zurerst ins Auge fällt, wenn man das Bad betritt, sind die Farben Pink, Rot, Rosa und Dunkelblau. Die Neongelben Beschläge und die Führungsschiene setzen einen Gegenakzent und halten die Farbflächen zusammen.

Die raumtrennende Glaswand mit zwei Schiebetüren unterteilt Funktionsbereiche im Bad und gibt Intimität. Vorne im Bad, Badewanne und Waschbecken, hinten WC, Bidet und Dusche.

Steht man in der Dusche, tauchen die Bewohner in Farben wie Pfirsich, Rosa, Hell- und Dunkelgrün ein.
